Ronda is not going to resolve her family and training camp issues in between getting smashed and another fight. She needs time off to refocus on what got her here and work with a team that will develop her further.

Like many.....I absolutely hate this insta-rematch shit.....its bullshit. Numerous "greats" that lost their titles had to at least do one "earn your way back" fight to get a shot at the title. It's especially stupid in this cae s Rousey has this whole movie commitment thing and won't be able to fight until summer 2016. So Holly who's been quite active now has to sit around and wait for her for the next 7 months? That's bullshit. Tate should be getting a shot next as she's earned it with her four straight wins
But we shouldn't be surprised given how the UFC operates these days with how they pass deserving fighters over on a regular basis.
On the positive, the rematch will likely do very well numbers wise and will likely be a big payday for Holly which I'm sure most agree we can get behind. Also remember that Dana has been very much about protecting his golden goose. Could you imagine if Rousey came back in an "earn her shot" fight and lost? The Rousey mystique and brand took a substantial hit last night and that would be utterly null and void if she loses her next fight. Dollar Dana ain't gonna risk that happening with his cash cow. Insta rematch is the best thing for what matters most to UFC......the almighty dollar.
i want to see if a gorilla could beat a bear in a fight. never saw it happen could go either way as far as im concerned. it happens, bear mauls the gorilla. gorilla lives, gets healed up. do i have to put the gorilla in there again? its not that much different, mma can be a game of inches but this was won by a mile.
its one thing if the fights close, edgars fights mostly were decently close enough that they get a pass given the rest of the fights available at that moment in time but i dont see what fetish seeing someone who just got absolutely beat down thrown into a cage again with that same animal. its shameful.

He's probably thinking of going with the original plan of having Honda fight in UFC 200.
You got 7 months between now and then. Can she defend once in that period? Yeah. But Im sure Holm will agree to headline UFC 200 if they give her a PPV cut.
There can always be a headliner falling out and they can call Holm to save a card, but they will probably shelf her until then.
I hope they rematch immediately because that is the last thing you're suppose to do. Dana is stupid when it comes to the fight game.
