Is Dana missing out on the “shit show” that is Jake Paul?
UFC president Dana White said he doesn’t want anything to do with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
“First of all, I would never do business with those guys, just no,” White said. “No, this is not what we do. I’m not gonna (expletive) loan them a guy for (expletive) what? There’s no way. You got plenty of (expletive) goofballs out there that you can muster up to get in there and play these games that these guys are playing. Yeah, I’m not your guy.”
Exactly. He can withstand the barrage of punches Robbie unloaded on him with those smaller gloves, but one punch from Jake drops Ben like a gunshot. It doesn’t make any sense. It’s almost as if he went down willingly. That doesnt make any sense though because he’d have to agree on taking a dive and why would he do that when he was making the largest payday of his career. It’s not like he was ha picked specifically though, I mean he got the fight based on merit and his accomplishments as a wrestler and mma fighter. Why would Ben risk his reputation as a boxer that he values so much? I just dont get.
It blows his mind that Askren, who was dominated in the stand up by Demien Maia, got sparked out by a dude in his early 20s who’s trained boxing hard for 12-24 months minimum?
I understand a lot of clueless fight fans on here thought anything else was gonna happen to Ben, but it blows my fucking mind Dana didn’t know it would
It blows my mind that someone would think that a dude training for 24 months would beat a life long career combat athlete. I suppose stranger things have happened…
The funny thing is Askren never threw a decent punch in his life and you actually thought he had a chance. Like Ben Askren was saving his whole career for this one moment. Crazy that you would ever think he would win in a boxing match.
