This, stupid fight, TFerg can win, but mostly likely it would be a brutal damage for TFerg, and Chandler could have more interesting fight
Chandler needs a win. He’s 1-2 in the UFC and they view him as a guy in the title picture. He’s still in his prime, and lost to 2 elite guys. Matching Chandler with someone like Poirier and risk him going 1-3 in the UFC is a bad idea.

Unless Ferguson has a miraculous turn around, this is borderline criminal. It shouldn’t be sanctioned. Ferguson is the GOAT at lightweight but a BJ Penn type drop off happened and he is honestly the least imposing male fighter on the roster today. There’s a reason everyone wants a fight with him now.
