Since Misaki won does that means there will be a Hendo vs. Misaki 3 for the 183lb title? I don't know, but for some reason I think Filho should be the one fighting for that title. It will be interesting to see how that unfolds.

The motivation must have drained out of him when he heard that Filho had pulled out. Not taking anything away from Masaki of course.
What was the reason for Filho pulling out by the way? Was it a genuine injury or did he not fancy the job?
Filho hurt his knee, but not sure how serious it was. Hendo/Misaki 3 doesn't seem ridiculous at all because they were both extremely competitive fights, but Filho seems like the man right now. Misaki got lucky with Filho pulling out of the finals, but he took advantage of it. Either way I think Filho is going to be the champ whenever he gets a title shot.
Funny thing, Kang said in the sherdog post-fight interview that him and Filho were good friends so he was not sad they didnt have to fight. Maybe Filho bowed out..?

that said. I don't think Kang lost because of his "injury" The guy was still utilizing that arm extensively in the fight.. going for takedowns, using that arm as leverage for slamming etc. etc.
Misaki is a more technical striker than Kang.
A fresh on fire Kang couldn't even finish Gono. Even Dan who is inferior To Misaki finished Gono with ease.
I see Silva dominating the UFC scene for a while. Filho looks like he's going to be the Pride champ sooner than later. I would love to see Hendo fight Kang or Filho right now.

You cannot judge how good of fighter Kang is based on Gono's fight. It was very obvious that he was reserving himself for later fights. Fresh Kang in single match would handle Gono and Misaki with ease.
On the other hand, Misaki has proven that he is more than an average fighter. He defeated Baroni, Henderson, & Kang all in Decision. He may not be a finisher, but he is a tough competitors nonetheless.
