Holland and dRod were already fighting at a catch weight so nothing admirable there. Kham is fighting up a couple of pounds, li is fighting up 10 pounds, and Holland/Ferg are fighting 2 extra rounds.

I’m not a Nate fan but no way he should have accepted a catch weight. Last fight on his contract against a guy that most likely would have destroyed him at 170 let alone almost coming in at 180.

It’s less about the 7-8lb weigh in difference; it’s more about the impact that cutting that last bit of weight would have had on his opponent’s performance. 7-8lbs is not significant. What is significant is how cutting those last few pounds would impact his endurance, strength, ability to get Koed, etc. Nate was smart to not take the catch weight. It also gave him leverage to renegotiate
