Weird to rewatch the fight. McGregor literally gave Diaz his neck at the end by trying a takedown?

This right here once again proves Conman McGregor is wrong
I thought he smashed nate rd 1.
Weird how emotions and fight hype can effect your perception.
Watching it now conor won the round but not too much more than that.
JBax1991 - Yeah, Mcgregor beat his ass the first round.Lol
I saw Nate rolling a lot with the punches, as someone who has never boxed, how much does that actually negate the impact of the blow?
Don't really see what 8min McGregor really tells himself here he was winning for 8 mins against a guy with no camp who was partying in cabo before the fight.
He never " won" those minutes against a guy with a full camp. Nate said himself he hadn't been sparring and it would probably take a round to get going.
The only thing that made it look like Conor was getting the upper hand was that Nate was cut. If you take out the cut, as the fight metric shows, it was an even first-round
stcpm02 - I saw Nate rolling a lot with the punches, as someone who has never boxed, how much does that actually negate the impact of the blow?It definitely helps, but you are still getting hit in the face. You feel the punch but it won't stun you so you can usually then completely dodge any potential follow up punches, which are what really do damage.
