do wrestlers wear cups?

in wrestling have you ever known anyone to wear a cup for matches or practice??...i know a whole lot of guys do in bjj, but im not too sure about wrestling

One judo throw that goes a bit high (uchi-mata I believe, sorry I'm not a Judo guy but the throw where the object is to catch the opponents front leg knee with the heel and launch him) and you'll never ask about wearing a cup every again. It's automatic.

I took four of those in a row before I just fell to the ground so my training partner would stop trying for that throw :(

I wrestled both in H.S and College. Never wore a cup. Wore an athletic supporter, but not a cup. Nor did my team mates.

Judo - yes.

In all my years of wrestling Ive never worn a cup, or even seen someone that wore one......lol.....funny question.//// I hate wearing one in a fight.

Lot of Judo guys no.

Lot of BJJ guys no too.

Me I am a big believer - near wear one to sleep :-)

^ See, I believe that, which makes it ALL the more depressing that I can't train without one :(... Like I can't, or rather don't want to, use my cock for days if I roll/train without a cup.

How in the hell do people grapple without a cup. I LOVE my nuts just the way they are. That is why I wear a cup for all grappling.

I didn't wear one, like even once, for 5-6 years of armbarring, and it ALL changed one horrible weekend.. Can't train without now.
