I have done shin conditioning by doing partner light kicking drills, shin on shin to harden the bones. I am recovering from acl surgery and now i am wondering if this will work on elbows? Like hitting your elbows on a telephone pole to harden you bones? I am not a newbie but it seems like it this works then why not do it? Your shins and elbows have no padding during a pro mma fight or muay thai.
My coach is Matee (legend in Muay Thai). I asked him about this and he said not to do that shit. Just kick the heavy bag A LOT.

This is the correct way to condition shins.
agree 100% with just kickin the shit out of the bag.. same with elbows
don't hit your shin with anything harder than your shin..
hitting bags works fine..

That alone, hurts like holy hell
you want to deaden the nerves. its not the bone you are really conditioning. the bag is the way to go. harder things than your shin will only cause deep bone bruising.
