Does it seem to anyone else like Tito is mentally defeated already?
Tito said that Chael "ruined him"
CP has a win over the current UFC MW Champ and was working guys like Yushin Okami, Nate Marquardt, Paulo Filho and Shogun.
Sonnen's lineage is directly rooted to Matt Lindland, Randy Couture and Hendo, plus his competitive background includes the great Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.
Tito's great strength is his wrestling and Chael won't have to worry about cutting much weight. The technical disparity seems vast standing/ground.
I wouldn't put too much thought into it.
Chael struck Wanderlei first.
Another scratch on the record. 1-21-17.
inf0 - I wouldn't put too much thought into it.
Here's some Sonnen wallpaper to replace your expired Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko wallpaper.
Fedor is next.
Your favorite fighter is a gimmick.

Any chance Tito can out wrestle him?

Exactly. Chael is a 2 time D-1 National Champion.
Tito was at a different stage with Chuck. He was the champion, he wanted to remain champion, build his brand, do clothing lines, have his own team, be the man. Knew Chuck threatened his position on top.
Right now he fights one off fights for the payday. He isn't going to be a meaningful champion again, he doesn't have a team, isn't having to maintain some sense of invulnerability. He's lost a lot in recent years.
So no, I doubt Chael has him intimidated, because I don't think a loss (or a win) means as much.
Tito by sub.
He barely beat Bonnar.
And I like Bonnar.
TRT Chael will win. Again.
Chael has always been a monster on the wrestling/grappling side. Ferocious with his pace and aggression. The EPO could be to blame, but damn that guy had a ridiculous pace. All juice bs aside much respect to the American Gangster, he is a hell of a wrestling specimen and a fierce competitor. I think he smashes Tito and goes on a wild shit talking spree.

I checked Wiki and they list him as a 1998 Division I All American, 8th place at 190 pounds and a 1999 and 2001 Pac 10 2nd place finisher. It also lists two 1st place finishes in University National Greco-Roman Championships in 1999 and 2000.
Chael is a beast. He still has something left in the tank with his style. As far as being in a dominant position, his % is the highest in UFC history.
Chael has only gotten his ass completely whooped 2x in his entire career. Jones and Evans. He's only been knocked down once or twice. He's got a chin like a motherfucker.
And Maia
tito is just a tune up fight. fedor is next.
Tito will smash the smoke out of his ass into a living death!

I could see Tito big brothering him. It's a HW fighting a MW.
Chael had some legendary moments. Ilost my mind when he floored Anderson and beat up him for 4 and a half rounds, and again when he slapped a choke on Shogun. He was a hell of a fighter, enhanced though he was (but so was everyone). I honestly give Tito no chance in this fight.
