What should you do instead? Against a guy with a vicious left hook?

lead rights would be making you open for the left hook, i would be circling to the left more and using my lefthand mostly, if you do use your right hand i would make it short,cause i love to counter the left hook over the right hand,im sure alot of other people do it as well, jab lots work that left hand and fire the right hand when your in good position todo so
lead right hands worked awsome for hopkins when he fought tito, cauise tito feet are like in concrete,he couldnt get set intime,hopkins was throwing beatiful short right hands

Stay the hell away circling away from his hook.
Pepper him with jabs to keep him from setting his
feet. He'll eventually start reaching with that hook
and he's bound to miss. Counter with the right hand.
Something that was done to me once, and impressed me
enough that I remembered, is the guy smothered my hook
by reaching out with his power hand (we were both
southpaws) and then hooked me hard to the body. I
took 2 jabs to the face, walked into range and set my
feet. Instead of backing up he stepped in, stuffed
my punch and ripped a hook to my body and followed
with a left over the top. I don't remember all that
much after that.
