Dustin was right, his check fucked Conor's ankle

Gordon Graydon class of 1990

@MysteriousNinjaFromMars

People will blindly repeat what Rogan says even when it makes little sense and doesn’t add up to the result at all.

oh he broke his leg… must be because of this kick he landed with his foot 4 minutes earlier

And Lol @ theres a bulge in his ankle. Never seen an ankle before? It’s called the talus, and everybody without fat cankles has it bulging out 24/7.

Yep. That shit hurts too. Even with shin pads if you kick someone’s elbow it’s painful. There’s a good defense to body kicks by dipping your elbow into the shin

Somebody posted a slow motion of Conor’s leg wobbling before he rolled it.

Yeah when he kicked his elbow with the front kick right before. Crazy how he stood on it and even stepped with it clearly wobbling (broken).

Rogan was way off though and trying to validate what he thought Porier was talking about.

I think the smaller bone was intact. He stepped and punched and his leg bent. Then he stepped and planted for another punch and that’s when it completely folded.

Crazy.

Dustin said it also during the interview plus there is a picture that shows exactly the moment and Poirier pointing at his fucked up leg.

It’s really semantics at this point though, we can all at least agree Poirier 1) broke him and 2) is the better fighter

Errrrrrr, not really. When that kick hits your funny bone…well… it’s not funny at all lol

it hurts like hell (you feel that electric shock up your arm) and I’ve had my arm go numb from a kick.

It is still best to block with your forearm (or just gtfo the way) in my humble opinion.

You can clearly see the kick that fucks it up a few seconds before the full break

I posted it all above, if he doesn’t have eyes then what can we do?

His shin didn’t get compromised by kicking Dustin’s knee with his damn foot.

Watch the fight again.

He throws numerous hard kicks after that “check”. If he had fractured his leg somehow via his foot in that exchange, it would have broken far far earlier than it did with the kicks he was throwing…which he probably wouldn’t have been throwing in the first place if his shin was fractured.

You can call it “semantics” all you want but that’s just you refusing to look at obvious evidence and admit that you were mistaken.

Apparently some people think an impact on your foot can cause a shockwave that’ll fracture your leg lol

You’ll must be doctors when your not on the forums

No need here, just logic and decent eyesight.

I’m not a doctor, I just play one on the Internet.

his coach says his shin might have been compromised actually during training.

that last contact with the elbow most definitely finished breaking it though, yeah that is nasty.

I guess we will never find out but again it doesn’t really matter, he is done and the better fighter moves on to challenge for the title.

It was a sidestep. One of the best moves in MMA.

I think we can call this one settled.
