Diaz has already fought in the UFC so I dont think the UFC jitters will get to him... however the following does not bode well for his chances:
1) Nick has been dropped by Gomi, KJ noons, Zaromskis and Paul Daley... the difference is that BJ wont be afraid of Nicks Gaurd and Penn will pounce on him.
2) BJ has better wrestling. BJ will be able to take him down and control him enough to win at least 2 rounds like he did against Fitch.
3) Nick's current perceived value has been established by competing in a kiddy pool and we all know what happens to those valuations once they compete in to the UFC.
What's concerning about Diaz is his pace and his body shots. His keys to victory is keeping his pace and landing body shots and finishing the fight late in the second or in the third. I think Penn can slow the pace enough with his takedowns and his counter punching to where he wins at least 2 of the 3 rounds. If Penn hurts nick he can possibly finish.
Penn is money in this fight.

While Nick is a good fighter, BJ has lost his will to fight. His fighting days are over. Way over.
And I say this as a fan of Penn.
If the BJ that fought Diego comes out then BJ will most likely win but based on how he's been lately I think Diaz can take this one if he can use his reach and fight smart.
