Edgar: I'm hoping to take him in deep water

TwoFatNuts - orcus = Edgar in disguise?

GriffinQ = Maynard incognito?

Pretty sure everyone sees through this facade guys.

These fighters did not just magically get the negative connotations associated with them. They earned them the good ol' fashioned way. By putting fans to sleep with their matches.

 Again, have you ever seen an Edgar fight? For the most part, they're highly entertaining...off the top of my head, the fights with Tyson, Veach, and both Penn fights were highly entertaining, for me at least.

And Maynard has exciting fights occasionally, although it's mostly due to his opponent, ie the Huerta fight.

CDarwin - On paper it should be the mother of all snooze fests, but sometimes reality just goes 180 on it all.

I get a feeling their game plans will fail and someone gets finished (sic!).

 Would you look at that, another highly entertaining Edgar fight. Fuck the doubters

Great his gameplan was to karate point match it out.......tremendous heart but...........yeah.....point fighter

role model - Griffin, just because you're a big Edgar fan doesn't mean his fights are entertaining for the majority of fans. He doesn't fight to win. He runs and outpoints people the whole time. He takes less risks than GSP. Again, I'm not saying he isn't a good, technical, or successful fighter- but entertaining is NOT a good word to describe the guy. <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Everyone has different tastes. Some folks like rock, some country, some jazz, some classical. Same with fights. Some people like to see two guys plant their feet and throw bombs, some like a lot of groundwork, some like technical standup with lots of footwork.

There's never agreement on whether a fight is entertaining or not simply because its subjective - its like trying to get everyone to agree on the same music. Just won't happen, and its pointless to try to get consensus.

Its good for MMA that there are people who enjoy different kinds of fights - variety keeps a sport strong.

 The majority of this board disagrees with you about that fight not being entertaining.

And thank you for attempting to insult my personality based off the enjoyment I get from seeing a highly skilled fighter dominate his opponent. Good for you, you kept on 10ing right up into the new year.
