EliteXC Planning Four Man "Freak Show" Tourney?

According to 411mania.com, EliteXC is mulling a heavyweight tournament with with an all-star cast of "PRIDE" freak show fodder.
Apparently the promotion is looking at inviting Butterbean, Bob Sapp, and Tank Abbott to join newly minted mma sensation, Kimbo Slice, for a four man heavyweight tournament.

Their main goal at this point is to make money. If that kind of show is profitable for them, then more power to them.

The thing is, this isn't as bad as thought. Bob Sapp has some legit wins in K-1, a decent MMA record. Tank Abbot is, well, Tank Abbott and Butterbean can knock out fucking anyone and has a pretty decent MMA record with some decent wins himself.
This actually isn't that bad of a tournament. Any one of these guys would be a good test for Kimbo. If Kimbo won the tournament, he would definitely be looked as legit as, he would have a couple wins over some decent opponents.
I would guess the match ups would go:
Kimbo vs. Tank Abbott
Butterbean vs. Bob Sapp
And I bet they'd want the finals to be Kimbo vs. Bob Sapp.

Yes, and the Washington Generals really played some good ball against the Globetrotters..Cmon man, you know its a freakshow, that being said, this sounds like a fun one to watch.

Kimbo said he would be fighting in February and Bob Sapp is fighting for Strikeforce in Feb. so, I would imagine they would do a co-promotion and have the tournament in Feb.
Does anyone know if this is indeed a legit rumor or is it just bullshit?

The thing is, I think this is the perfect tournament to get Kimbo's name even more out there. All 3 guys have absolutely no ground game so, if Kimbo could get it down to the ground, he could definitely submit these guys, training with Bas, you know he has the know how to do so.
Kimbo will also have the most endurance out of all 3 guys.
This is tailor made for Kimbo to win, IMO.

Different situation. Elite XC doesn't call themselves the Superbowl of MMA and then proceed to give us Rashad vs. Bisping.
Elite is trying to build stars and that's what they are doing. They aren't at the UFC's level so, why would we hold them to the UFC's level?
