For those of you who don't know Erik Paulson has been training Ken Shamrock for the last few months. Attached is a message Erik sent Ken, that they asked us to publish on the various websites.

You are always on time, a man of his word, a hard worker, and an athlete who earns and deserves ever ounce of respect that you deserve!
 
You have a great support system, ... Family, friends, and students, that is to be admired! Battalia and I, along with others, all have the utmost respect for you, and can only hope that we are doing the best job that we can to bring out the best in you, both as a person, and as the top prize fighter!
 
Your discipline, work ethics, genetics, and prestige, is like no other that I've ever seen. I am honored to train you and to help you achieve this victory. I believe that this match will be a turning point in your career for everyone, including you, to prove to this world that you are everything that you are, what you are about, and to regain your status amongst the worlds' eyes that you are back and here to stay!!!

It's hard not to root for Ken in this, but same goes for Kimo... as anti-climactic as people see this upcoming war, I'm itchin to see it. It'll be a lot better than Sylvia and Mir, for sure.

That's cool. I've always liked Paulson, I remember he mentioned that he is a Christian before the Matt Hume fight in '97. I like Ken, too, it sounds like their training together is going really well. I hope Ken wins it.

Actually, I hear that he will be coaching along with Rigan Machado to develop a MachadoVT (Vale Tudo) team... :)
