Hey Elvis,

Is this the comp we talked about at the Winter Cup last Sunday?

Tim

P.S. Sorry about your watch ; )

Yes this is the comp we discussed. That's ok, my watch is fine now. :)

We want to make this the best possibly run comp possible. Some of the things we're looking to do (and hopefully will) are things like having the draws available online the day before. Having a schedule online the day before so you can see what time your division starts. Though we won't get a chance for this event, for future events we'd also like to have the ability to accept online applications as well. We also want to have the smoothest running event possible so that the competitor comes away with a good experience.

TTT for another Comp on the NSW calender!!!!! Lets hope every team can get behind this initiative.

More comps is a good thing for the competitors. Our goal is to make this comp for the competitors.

Hopefully there will be a great turnout. Already getting alot of interest. Looks like even the interstate guys are coming up for this one. Will be a good lead up to the Pan Pacs.

Elvis

Are the rules on the website? If not where can I view?

The rules are the standard IBJJF rules.

Elvis

Hopefully is getting ready for this event and has their entry forms filled in and ready to send. Hoping to add a few more things to make this event even better.

Elvis

We're hoping to get the same support from the other clubs that we give to the NSW BJJ Federation. With all the clubs supporting each other and more competitions BJJ can only continue to grow and flourish in NSW. We will be no.1 for BJJ.

Elvis

The forms should be on line come Wedensday.
That means fill out the form and pay on line .
Easy

Just a reminder that the comp is two weeks away. Hopefully everyone is getting themselves ready. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the event.

Elvis

 Hey Guys,

A week to go now and I hope everyone is getting ready for the comp.

We're also taking things to the next level for this comp. We now have the following in place...

We now have online entry. No need to fill in paper forms, find your cash, and remember to bring it all to training. Now you can enter and pay online!

We are also planning to have a professional photographer working the event. I know I've always wanted professional photos from my comps. The photographer will have a stall at the event, check it out, he's worked shows in Japan and knows what he is doing. He will be taking photos all day of all the matches.

Hope to see you all there.

Elvis

To help all the competitors we have provided a summary of the rules that the competitors will be competiting under and that the referees will be using as their guide.

Will the draw be online a day before as planned?

At this point we are planning to. Worst case it may just be the schedule (eg what time your event is on).

Elvis

Ok guys, the schedule and draws are now available online.

Not as many competitors from some of the major clubs as we'd hoped, but we've still managed over 200 competitors.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

 TTT

Elvis,

When's the next one on?

Events BJJ will hold their next tournament next year. We will organise them so that they do not clash with the Federation tournaments that way everyone has plenty of options. We want to work with the Federation to give competitors the best circuit available. Hopefully we took a big step in that direction today.

It was a good showing and the day ran well. We had over 200 competitors and we finished competition by 2pm. We had presentations and the hall cleaned out by 3pm. We were very happy with how the first day went. Check out http://proofing.strikingshots.com for photos from the event.
