Every UFC commercial = strikes and KO

Ever notice that? Never any submissions or any grappling or GnP. Only bombs landing. Makes the sport more barbaric, IMO. Oh well, sex sells.

Sex sells? Are they getting raped after the KO?

YOUR GONNA GET HIT

YOUR GONNA GET KNOCKED OUT

YOUR GONNA FEEL IT

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE

hah, i know what you mean, but it depends on what the fighter in the event is.
But you have to face it, most fans want to see stand up fights and knock outs.
Thats why you get all the drunk idiots that boo as soon as the fight hits the ground

DamirioN - Sex sells? Are they getting raped after the KO?

Sexy is landing a one-two and having the dude's head snap back.

Sexy is not grinding GnP, or swinging around a modified mount into an armbar.

I don't mean it literally, but as a jargon.

Sex sells like violence sells.

Most uninitiated will see the armbar and think, "huh? okay..."

But a big KO and pools of blood, as a hook for the audience, speaks a lot to what that kind of audience is. You can see how drastically different the UFC RIO Brazilian commercial is compared to the American one.

It's pretty easy for someone who doesn't know much about MMA to understand a punch or kick to the noggin.
The first time I saw an armbar I had no idea what was going on. I thought Ken Shamrock was doing the figure four wrong.

Pretty much the only submission hold people innately know is a choke.
