Fight Media Inc. to Launch Fantasy Sports Channel

Toronto – Fight Media Inc., the parent company of Fight Network, is pleased to announce the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has approved its submission for the launch of a fantasy sports television channel.

Fight Media Inc. will develop a category B digital fantasy sports television service for a targeted launch in early summer 2013.

The fantasy sports industry, which refers to the development and management of self-created sports teams, is estimated to be worth $4 billion a year in North America with 32 million participants.
