First Crocop fight you saw?

Vs. Heath Herring for me.

All I remember is saying "Who is THIS guy?"

Him vs saku. Thought it was a huge mismatch in saku's favor and a pretty quick sub. Phone Post 3.0

I saw a highlight of him before a fight. Once I saw that highlight, I couldn't figure out why he wasn't in movies like Van Damme. He was knocking fools out with kicks left and right (literally) back then.

The first one I saw is when he 'submitted' Josh and two months later he submitted Randlemen with a choke. I honestly thought he was a beast then and only realized he was a crazy striker later. I've followed his career the whole time since the early 2000's. Even though he had some tough lows I still always loved his fights and thought it was extra cool he was special forces and sat a seat on the Croatian administration. That's called diversified in my book! I also named my son Mirko after his namesake. Phone Post 3.0

Igor V

brutal KO

whatever his first pride fight was

Vs Wand. He didn't blow him away by a long stretch and it was a rule set that favored Mirko too. Will never forget the footprint on Wands side. Remember thinking Wand was made of stone.

Way back in K1 when he was billed as "Mirko Tiger"

But I remember watching his first mma bout Vs Fujita and thinking "no way this guy can do that again... total fluke"

Boy was I wrong! Phone Post 3.0

Fight fight I saw was K-1 against Musashi.

First MMA fight was the Fujita KO.

What a career! I hope he enjoys a well deserved retirement. Phone Post 3.0

I'd saw him fight Sapp in K1 in Japan on Tv, prior to that I'd only seen highlights.

SensoriaUtopia - Igor V, I had seen Cro Cop highlights, I came to Pride more during the latter 1/3 part of their run, and I saw a vid of Igor V, then I think it was his fight with Wandy, first time I saw him fight live was his ufc debut against Eddie Sanchez, it went to a dec but Eddie did nothing and just ran the entire fight it seemed and he looked scared as fuck, I remember thinking that I know all fighter are kind of scared, but Eddie looked just so obviously scared, and I don't blame him.
He finished Eddie in the first Phone Post 3.0

Pride 17 against Takada.

I had to look it up. Phone Post 3.0

vs Nagata was the fight that got me into MMA. I heard of it, but didn't watch it until later, so it may be the Igor V fight after all. Those were the 1st two anyway. But the absurdity of the Nagata fight at the time was mind-boggling. Fucking Inoki. Phone Post 3.0

Musashi, and then Sam Greco and Ernesto Hoost in one night at the K-1 GP 99. It even occurred to me that this guy should try MMA, because he was a fucking monster in the clinch.

Him vs aleks Phone Post 3.0
