You missed the point
Aaron Banks used to have Judo vs Boxing vs Karate vs Wrestling vs etc.... at Madison Square Garden in the 70's or 80's. Ironic that the 1st state to have "MMA" is now one of the last!
Modern era was Shooto Fights under Yuri Nakamura in Los Angeles just before UFC #1. I fought in the first 2 events !!
