Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou wants $30 million to box, as a prominent MMA manager recently alleged.
Ngannou parted ways with the UFC earlier this year after a lengthy contract dispute with the promotion. After getting his wish of being released from the UFC, Ngannou wants to make the move to boxing and realize a lifelong dream in the ring.
Ngannou has a few big names on his mind for his professional boxing debut, including Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua . In addition, he wants to end his longtime push for better fighter pay and to be rewarded with a massive paycheck for his first walk to the ring.
Ngannou wants to be paid handsomely for his fighting return despite no previous boxing experience of any kind.
Ali Abdelaziz: Francis Ngannou Wants $30 Million For Boxing Debut
In a recent Instagram story post, boxing promoter Tolya Sulyanov shared a screenshot of a recent text conversation with Ali Abdelaziz about Ngannouās financial wishes.
I would say unlikely but not impossible with Fury if they do it in the middle east.
He should get that at least.
If Conor could get $100m boxing floyd, Ngannou shouldnāt have an issue with $30m after all this inflation. Plus itās Deontay Wilder OR Tyson.
Both huge stars right now in their prime
Heavyweight boxing is the most exciting.
Hope he gets more and makes more UFC fighters do the same.
The UFC is raping these guys

If I remember correctly floyd vs connor did 2m ppv buys. Conor made $100m, floyd made $200m.
So if Ngannou vs Tyson or Deontay can do 20%-25% of those numbers he can make $30m

It was like 4 million and they did a 50 million gate. They arenāt doing 25% of those numbers.

Heās probably going to regret not taking the 8 million per fight offer from the ufc. I doubt he gets much more than 8 million to box and his boxing career will be one fight. All the top guys will embarrass him and then his money offers will be lower in boxing and mma. I mean, heās so stupid itās sad. He was really hung up on health insurance. I canāt imagine trying to negotiate with someone that dumb.

Conor did like 2.4 with his fight against khabib

The health insurance thing is dumb.
Any compensation not tied to a fight is dangerous employee territoryā¦ You donāt want to be an employeeā¦ Youāre going to pay double the taxesā¦ Is that worth saving a couple grand on health insurance?

No way Francis boxing anyone does 1 million ppv buys. Iād be surprised if it did 500k. Itās nothing more than an exhibition. Tyson Fury is a small star on ppv and no one gives a shit about any other heavyweight. Look up their ppv numbers.

The ufc has crushed boxing for a decade in ppv buys with a few exceptions, those being mayweather.
