Francis Boxing Debut $$$$$$$$ Revealed

Well thats how negotiations work.
Ask for high then work down.
He asks for 30, he may get 15-20.
Good for him.
I hope it goes well Big Franc!

Heā€™s a fucking moron. Pretty sure he fired his agent or manager. Heā€™s going to look even more like a fucking idiot when this is all said and done and heā€™s back in the UFC. I didnā€™t care when he ā€œleftā€ and Iā€™m getting tired of all this god damn talk. You know why itā€™s talk? Who is going to pay him 30 million? Seriously? What promotion? Wilder and fury can say this and that but what promotion has the ring and the money to pay him 30 million. How much will his opponent make? Whoā€™s going to pay him 30 million to get completely out boxed?

Just for reference, Tyson Fury apparently made like $30MM and $27MM from Wilder 1 and 2 with the guaranteed portion being $5MM in the first and $10MM-$13MM in the second. Rest from PPV.

Does Francis deserve to be paid like Tyson Fury? Did he earn that in boxing? Would Fury or Wilder give up a huge % to get the fight?

The guaranteed money for Fury/Chisora 3 was like $30MM split 80/20. Gotta think Francis is closer to Chisora level fame in boxing than Fury. Math donā€™t work. No big timer is giving Francis a 50/50 split and even if they did it wonā€™t be near $30MM guaranteed. Closer to half that.

Even McFelon who was as big as it gets at the time only got a rumoured 25% against Floyd.

Happy for him to get what he can but donā€™t see it being near his ask.

He wonā€™t get that with anyone, including Fury or Wilder. Those are prime (big name boxer) who gets the lionā€™s share of the revenue numbers.

I think woodley got around 4 Mill for the Paul fight?

Itā€™s unfortunate see him set the max at less than $30M after turning down the UFC contract. I realize he said it wasnā€™t about the money, and he wants to box. However, if he thought he could defend his title once more, heā€™d like made as much, if not more, over two fights than what he hopes to get boxing.

It made sense to me that heā€™d check on his options. I just didnā€™t want him to be held up, perpetually hoping for something around the corner. If he could have made 4X as much boxing within 6 months, Iā€™d definitely understood why heā€™d do that.

I wonder if Francis thinks of himself as only having 1-3 competitions left. It would seem that he would have made more money accepting the UFC contract with at least one successful title defense.

I hope he gets his boxing match, and that he enjoys it as much as he expects.

easy to see why Dana was glad to be rid of him.
heā€™s got God complex, narcissistic personality disorder.
Ike Ibeabuch all over again.

If I was a scary Heavyweight with the touch of death in my hands, Id be cocky too.
Let em bang bro

In regards to Conor VS Mayweather, I watched every second of their promotional tour, and I enjoyed all of it. If Francis were to fight someone in boxing, I would not even consider watching a promotional tour.

My interest in watching him fight is very minimal. I dislike him for squandering his MMA opportunity and donā€™t care what he does.

Jake paul would KO him in boxing. Thats the only fight hell make close to that type of money. Hell be one and done. He might as well cash out

Exactly. Wilder isnā€™t a mainstream PPV draw. A Wilder-Francis fight will draw better but any promoter shelling out 15+ million for each guy is losing his ass.

I think he spent it

You guys really think he cant get $30 mill for a fight against Wilder?

I bet he can. The spectacle of a power punching boxer vs a power punching MMA fighter will bring in money from boxing fans. Most MMA fans will pirate it though

He might be able to but whoever does will lose $.

Ciryl Ganeā€™s head coach Fernand Lopez has indicated that he expects to see Francis Ngannou rejoin the UFC at some point in the future.

The MMA world was rocked in January when it became official that the UFC and Heavyweight Champion Ngannou had decided to part ways following failed contract negotiations. The move was a surprising one given the success ā€œThe Predatorā€ had while fighting for the promotion, but the two parties were unable to come to terms on a variety of issues.

The UFC worked quickly in the aftermath of Ngannouā€™s exit to book a fight for the vacant heavyweight title at UFC 285, which will see former interim heavyweight champion Gane welcome former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones back to the Octagon after more than three years away.

Ngannou bested ā€œBon Gaminā€ in what turned out to be his first and only title defense in January of 2022, and Ganeā€™s coach Fernand Lopez was asked during a recent interview with MMA Junkie if he was surprised by the 36-year-oldā€™s decision to leave the UFC.

ā€œI wasnā€™t surprised,ā€ Lopez answered. ā€œI knew that if heā€™s not satisfied, he will do that. He will leave the UFC. And I knew that as soon as he decide to go and have time with the UFC, I thought that at some point they might just split. And I wasnā€™t surprised.ā€

ā€œIā€™m Sure That Heā€™s Coming Back To The UFCā€

Ngannou has teased a number of fight options including entering the boxing ring now that heā€™s left the UFC, but Lopez thinks that the former heavyweight champion will find his way back to the Octagon eventually.

Ngannou defeated Gane by unanimous decision at UFC 270. (Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC)

ā€œIā€™m sure that heā€™s coming back to the UFC. Iā€™m pretty sure that he will be back to the UFC. I mean the way they choose the different paths, thatā€™s happened with a lot of respect. Like Francis didnā€™t use any ā€“ no way back [talk]ā€¦And the way Dana White spoke, saying that ā€˜Weā€™ll just let him go do whatever he wanna do.ā€™ I can tell the way he is moving, at some point weā€™ll see him back in the MMA. I mean I think that he have one or two shots in boxing, and then it will level up his value and then try to come back at least in MMA, and probably in the UFC.ā€

Itā€™s currently unclear exactly what Ngannouā€™s next combat sports endeavor will be, but the 36-year-old has had no shortage of suitors since the news broke regarding his exit from the worldā€™s top MMA promotion.

Much as Gane and Lopez probably would have liked another crack at Ngannou, a chance at history and UFC gold will still be on the line for them at UFC 285 when ā€œBon Gaminā€ meets Jones.

ā€œBonesā€ is unbeaten in his career outside of a single disqualification loss and is considered by many to be the greatest fighter in the history of the sport, but there are plenty of questions about how the former champion will look when he makes his heavyweight debut.

This makes no sense from a promoter standpoint. If he lost, this would be the opposite of how to capitalize on his name.

Makes more sense to put him against the biggest name possible, particularly if you think you can use his name + status to market him.

I think with the right promoter, Francis could see something close to what heā€™s asking.

Wow that is a disgrace!

MMA is a joke! The premiere organization pays their heavyweight champion $600k.

I hope thatā€™s just the official number and he made a lot more than that.
