I thought facebook was the only place that didn’t know about champions PPV points.

Franicis chose to stay fighting under his old contract so he could become a FA. He signed that before he was who he is now. The UFC has been offering him new deals for 3 years.

So Ngannou leaving WAS about money

I hope every top boxes refuses to fight him, he never fights again, and he ends up broke and working in McDonalds to feed his family.

A blight on the sport

What would be comical is if he his next fight is in the UFC. Dana usually gets the last laugh in instances like this one.

He will get at least one big check. Casuals love these freakshow fights. Wilder will make more money fighting Ngannou than the guy he fought last. Thats just capitalism.

No way in hell. Wilder’s last ppv sold 75,000. He’s not a star. Francis is not a star. Just by posting here means you’re way more invested in mma than the average person. Most of the guys at my jiu jitsu gym don’t even watch mma.

How about 7mil for an exhibition Vs Fury.

And 10mil Vs Wilder in a Pro fight

So the third best heavyweight boxer in the world only draws 75k and still makes millions? How does the math add up?

The first Jake Paul vs Woodley fight did 500k. No wonder Wilder is calling out Ngannou. These freakshow fights draw in the casuals.

This…the same thing was said about Usyk vs Fury. An oil country would back it and they were going to be paid insane amounts of money. Now the negotiations are back to the fight being in the UK, and Tyson is still pricing himself out of the fight being finalized. If Francis is stuck on 30 million and he’s the B side, wtf is the ask for Fury or Wilder going to be? No promoter will risk that much guaranteed purse money.

It’s a bit different too Mayweather is the greatest boxer of an entire generation undefeated. McGregor at the time they fought was champion in 2 divisions, first ever simultaneous 2 weight champ at the time and both had massive hype behind them.

I don’t think anyone even thought Francis was best HW when he won, he’s just a beast with heavy heavy hands.

And HW boxing is mildly interesting right now… Interesting enough for a fight fan to watch but not really for casuals.

Lol who exactly was then? He dominated the UFC GOAT Stipe, including on the ground. Knocked out Blaydes twice. Ended Cain’s career. Broke JDS’s chin for good. And won a 5 round decision over Gane, showcasing his wrestling.

Nobody thought Stipe was the goat and they’re 1-1.

Cain was already done, 3 year layoff… and had a 2 year layoff not long before that basically was a come out of retirement (due to multiple injuries) fight.

Jds already sucked at that point.

Blaydes is a good couple wins i agree.

The promoter lost a fortune. I posted the article.

But no one watched stipes career as it happened and thought this guy is good, he was the betting underdog in almost every fight.

I said UFC GOAT. He broke the heavyweight title defense record. Fedor is the overal heavyweight GOAT.

So did Dominick Cruz and he won the belt back. Ngannou retired Cain.

I notice you couldnt name any alternative best HW. Concession noted.

No concession.

When JDS and Cain were on their runs they were much scarier. That’s recent HWs of course.

Even DC is a better HW. I get they are 2-1 but DC also had an incredible run at LHW and HW in strikeforce.

Remember JDS beat Stipe when they were both in their primes. Stipe only got him back when JDS was a shell of his former self.
