I thought I heard that Frankie was going into standup comedy. I’ve never seen the guy smile before and crack a joke in an interview. He alway seemed really stiff in his interviews.
Is he funnier that the mma gold standard, Brendan schaub ?

If Schaub can do it, frankie con probably do it 40x better
No idea, but most standup comics aren’t funny… go to an open mic or amateur comedy show and see how that goes… Hell go watch half the pros… They aren’t funny. It’s really hard to watch most people. Thank God for alcohol.

If he goes up and tells old funny stories from training and fighting and how it affected his home life and everything in between, it could be great
It takes most people with some talent around a decade to be good enough to put out a good hour long set of legit standup.
Even with a little standup talent, you would likely not want to watch his material until 2032.
Standup is like food, lots of different tastes out there and the crowds seem to go to McDonalds as often as the good restaurants.
Take a guy like Stanhope. Been doing it like 30 years now, lots of comics consider him one of the best living standups and still… he does not appeal to a lot of standup fans.
If Frankie ever does make money in standup, its not gonna be for a long, long time.
Doing it for fun as a hobby in NYC would be his best approach.
Its one of the least likely ways he is gonna earn decent money after fighting. A hobby for fun is a different story. I’m sure thats all he is after with it.

The first Brendan “special” wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The Asian accent tho I know it’s racist and blah blah blah, when he did it, I cracked up. And the part where his jeans wouldn’t let him in or out of his truck. Meh it was ok especially seeing how long he had been doing it at the time. The second one tho… just damn
No the first one was a travesty and inexcusable. You must laugh hysterically at female comedians.
Well the 20 seconds there were useless. Stand Up comedians are generally highly intelligent people. MMA fighters are generally not.
