He was from Harrisburg ,Pa and was a jobber. Meaning not on a real high level of exposure or holding any kind of "championship",not necessarily a reflection on his skill though. Neither wore Gi tops during the match. Check out Mark Hewitts book, catch wrestling, round 2

No they went on for a couple hours, then it got to late and the police made everyone go home. Helios elbows were supposedly bruised from all the elbows he gave Eberts noggin. Apparently Ebert didn't strike him back, just held him down

That guy could be Mark Kerr's grandfather.

This guy could be Kerrs grandpa. He wore a gi against Helio who managed to survive and played for a draw(moral victory). Then crushed George(who actively tried to fight)

Helio was frail, sickly, and weak. And he developed leverage. So it's easy to see that Helio could roll with big wrestlers for 2+hours.

Was in one of the Choque volumes?

They have so much info that I've obviously forgotten ...but I don't remember a lot of discussion around a 2hr plus fight ?

11-5-1932 Helio against Ebert lasted an hour and 45 minutes. Neither wore Gi tops. Elbows,headbutts and knees legal. No punching with closed fist or kicking. El Presidente dictator Vargas had strict curfew so they had to go home. Ruled a draw
