Herring's a journeyman, Couture gave up at least 40 lbs and Mir was helpless once his guard stopped working. As soon as Brock faced a real threat in Cain and Overeem it was all over.

his opponents wont need a name. after a win or two, no matter who he fought, they will start up their media hype machine. its entirely possible that since everything is blown up now on fox that they wouldnt risk giving him freebies. brock was special in that he was in the most popular division while it was starving for stars.

I agree with his point but Brock was a bad example. Brock had a legit wrestling background and did quite well. Although he didn't like getting hit, he could certainly absorb them without getting knocked out. He had a good chin regardless of his instinct.

Lesnar is an NCAA D1 wrestling champion and runner-up. Heavyweight is also a very weak weight class, and Lesnar's a massive heavyweight at that.
In contrast, CM Punk has no athletic achievements, and he'll be going into one of the tougher weight classes.
