Full Card Revealed For ONE: UNBREAKABLE II
After kicking off 2021 in style, ONE Championship is set to return with the second installment of its UNBREAKABLE event series. This coming Friday, 29 January, the world’s largest martial arts organization will air ONE: UNBREAKABLE II from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
In the main event, former ONE Heavyweight World Title challenger Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli will meet Russian hard-hitter Abdulbasir “Dagestan Machine” Vagabov. The colossal headline attraction will feature a battle between European heavyweight champions.
Cerilli is an Italian Mixed Martial Arts champion who owns a 13-4 professional record with an impressive 69 percent finishing rate.
Although the Terracina native is known as a knockout artist, he also owns three submission victories. Cerilli displayed those grappling skills when he took four-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing heavyweight world champion Alain “The Panther” Ngalani to the ground and finished him with knees to the head.
Vagabov is a Russian Mixed Martial Arts Champion who owns a 12-1 slate. Not only does he possess a whopping 91 percent finishing rate, but the “Dagestan Machine” has either knocked out or submitted 10 of his opponents in the first round. If he defeats a former ONE heavyweight world title challenger in Cerilli, Vagabov could find himself at the front of the queue and be only a victory or two away from challenging for Brandon “The Truth” Vera‘s gold.
In addition to that clash of the titans, the co-main event will feature a battle between Eastern and Western Mixed Martial Arts champions.
Japanese Mixed Martial Arts champion Daichi Takenaka previously made his presence felt in the bantamweight division. He is a grappling wizard who owns a 12-2-1 record and has registered wins over former ONE bantamweight world title challengers Leandro “Brodinho” Issa and “Ottogi” Dae Hwan Kim. Now, the Osaka native is moving down to flyweight, where he will be welcomed by Brazilian Mixed Martial Arts champion Ivanildo “Monstrinho” Delfino.
Like his opponent, Delfino is a master grappler who owns an 8-1 slate with a 76 percent finishing rate. In fact, 63 percent of his wins come by way of submission. The Brazilian suffered his only career blemish at the hands of Takenaka’s compatriot, Tatsumitsu “The Sweeper” Wada, one year ago, so he is eager to earn some redemption.
In addition to those athletes, the card will feature fan favorite Ngalani, South Korean knockout artist “Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il, Senegalese wrestling sensation “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane, and more.
