With the current growth of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in the world, quickly expanding in many places, it was about time for MMA to evolve to its well-deserved status in one of the pioneer countries for this exciting sport, as Brazil now can be recognized not only for its talented fighters, but also for a well organized, professionally ran and properly produced event, as Fury Fight Championship brought all that plus a set of exciting bouts in its inaugural edition, Fury FC 1 Warlords Unleshead, this past September 27th, in the biggest city of South America, Sao Paulo.

Taking place at Tom Brasil, one of the leading house of spectacles in the country, with all needed structure for a show of this size, Fury FC 1 presented the Brazilian fans with a never before seen level of attention to details, including a tasty opening cerimony, use of fireworks and other elements for the fighters presentation, lighting effects, and all needed ingridients to add value to the spectacle that a MMA show has to be in modern days. Topping the excellence in prodution, the show saw flawless organization, with pefect security structure, proper view of the Fury ring from any seat in the house, a cousy lounge for the VIP guests, among many other details that were not present in Brazilian MMA shows in the past, until Fury FC arrived in town. Because of its level of detail in its organization, among other reasons, Fury FC's inaugural edition attracted plenty of famous Brazilians, from singers to top-models, as well as icons of the sport such as the Pride Middleweight Champion Wanderlei Silva, proving that if well-produced, this sport can also attract a quality audience in South America, like it does in richer countries such as the USA and Japan. Needless to say, the main attraction of that Wednesday night in Sao Paulo were the fights, and Fury FC 1 Warloards Unleshead was not to disapoint the fans, as the show brought a set of nine fights to the avid fans on hand, including the first round of an 8-men up to 93 kg tournament, that will be concluded this coming November 30th, at the second edition of Fury FC, properly entitled Final Combat. Through the brackets of the tournament's first round, five Brazilians, one Russian, one Japanese and one Dutchmen clashed to keep their pursuit of the belt, and in the end four resilliant Brazilians ended up emerging as winners, as Thiago Silva, Vitor Viana, Danilo 'Motoserra' and Dimitry Wanderlei advanced to the next round, where all will be decided. Showing its clear international concept, Fury FC 1 also had in its set of single fights a number of international fighters. Another Japan representative, as former Shooto champion Nayoa Uematsu battled another Shooto veteran in the Brazilian Marco 'Loro' from Nova Uniao, with the hometown fighter scoring the win in a very evenly matched outing. Keeping the international flavor, Russian contestant Alexei Prokofiev saw himself with a tough task on his hangs, as Jiu Jitsu phenom and MMA sensation Ronaldo Jacare gave him all he could handle, scoring one more win for the Brazilian grappling wizzard's career. Tough as well was French fighter Boris Jonstomp's mission, as yet one more Brazilian Jiu Jitsu top player in Givanildo Santana proved to be too much to handle. Fans were also treated to one more chapter in the already infamous Brazilian Top Team versus Chute Boxe rivalry, as BTT's Claudio Godoy saw himself edged by Chute Boxe's own Helio Dipp, in a fight that was back and fourth until its final moments.

With Fury FC arriving a new concept of Brazilian MMA shows has began, with a clear concept of excellence in quality of production and organization, believing in building ground for a better future where this country can also be an important stop in the world's circuit for the top fighters in the sport, as the need of presenting the form of fighting and entertainment fans around the globe have learned to love is very important to its acceptance by mainstream media and public. Fury FC 1 was an important mark for the sport in Brazil, and November 30th awaits with Fury FC 2 Final Combat coming up, as the fight card will be announced shortly, a champion will be crowned in the up to 93 kg tournament and many more surprises are yet to come. The Fury has been unleshead already!
