I believe he went to school in L.A. and trained at Hollywood BJJ during that time. Not sure how good his English is/was, but I've talked to a few guys who competed in the Westside Tournament he famously won. Nobody knew who he was beforehand and he was doing all sorts of goofy ninja warm-ups. Everyone thought he was a joke until he started triangling motherfuckers left and right.

That westside tourney was nuts. I was there selling rage athetic wear and he showed up and took everyone to school. He was amazing I had been in MMA for years and I will never forget the clinic he put on that day.

ye showed up and chris was like hat is the king of pancrase.At the time I thought slap fighting. He was very humble great guy. I was more into kickboxing back then i regret it now both those guys aren't in cali anymore chris and gomi that is.

how old is that westside tourney?

Anyone know where that combat ki school is. Saw them on discovery before and thought it was a joke but maybe these guys can take a punch. Sure wouldn't want to be kicked in the junk like that.
