I like you Phil but in this case you're dead wrong. Intentionally kneeing a downed opponent then spitting on or at guys in his corner is complete bullshit. You know it, I know it, the UKTT trolls and the rest of this forum knows it. There have got to be consequences for this type of behavior.

This thread is all over the place. Don't know why people seem to think that there's only one answer to an issue that has a few levels:
1) The illegal knee sucked, but no one can say for sure it was intentional. Maybe it was, but it's not altogether ridiculous to think that Bisping was just fired up and lost his head (as opposed to him doing it for spite or as part of some nefarious plan to weaken Rivera). Let's not forget -- he had no clue if that knee would have resulted in Rivera not continuing and Bisping getting marked with a loss (see Jones-Hamill). With the cage grab, all he was risking was a point -- but that knee could have cost him a potential title shot.
2) Talking shit is a matter of taste, but it's bad sportsmanship to do it before OR after a fight. Rivera is not a victim. He wanted to get under Bisping's skin; he should've considered that it could blow up in his face. That said, if you want to hate Bisping for not being the better man, that's your business.
3) The spit. I've rewatched the animated gif, and in my opinion, he was spitting toward the ground -- but there's really only so much you can glean from that single camera vantage point (it doesn't provide the location of the corner crew). If that was the case, then I don't think that gesture is any worse than the middle finger. But we'll never know unless someone provides more video. I don't put too much stock in Rivera's corner claiming it hit them, nor do I Bisping swearing it didn't.

You had him rocked, the ref let him recover during the doctor checking him out and stopped your momentum, and you got TKO'd.
You really think Bisping kicked his ass after NAILING him with that illegal knee....that is an asskicking?
I don't see much difference, and I sure didn't think you got your ass kicked in the first fight with Tanner.
Also, Bispins actually started on Jorge first saying how he was a big step down..... To me, that is more insulting than being called a dick.

Those videos were pretty awful. 2 midgets hopping around a very awkward Rivera trying to be funny. Instead of getting into Bisping's head, Rivera's camp did the opposite and created a ticking time bomb.
Serious fighters and camps should lay off the games and use that time to train like their opponents are doing.
Seems like fighters who spend alotta time talking de boolsheet on the internet usually end of getting smoked.
baroni has trained with bisping so he's going to agree with whatever he does. also phil has done some things in the octagon that he shouldn't be proud of (punching the ref is one example). no one should be shocked that phil is on bispings side.
