Getting rid of the VHS collection today

It’s tough looking at the titles of these old K-1 GP’s from 95 to around 2005 and the old k1 max events and unedited Japanese pride broadcasts. But the time has come.

Why??? Does anyone have a vcr these days? Looks Like A good collection

It is. But copying them to disk or a drive would be a lengthy process and time isn’t something I have a ton of these days. That applies to the re-watching part of the equation as well.

Pancrase and IVC those are some good ones. I can’t part with my old stuff and even hate seeing you part with yours. I would check eBay or amazon real quick to see if you got any going for a good price first if you don’t mind the time to check. Might be worth it in case you have something valuable you weren’t aware of.

Huh ?

Free time to spend on dubbing and or re-watching old events.

Sweet! That is a relic and tells us what the wild days were like

I recently transferred all my burned CDs of old and ancient events to a hard drive for smaller storage.

Didn’t have time for that either. And some probably didn’t work. And I’ll likely never watch any of them.

Still haven’t brought myself to through out all the old discs since.

The Pancrase DVD stuff is selling for a decent price. I’m sure if you bundled that stuff up you could be getting in the hundreds at least for VHS.

Even saw not rare VHS UFC’s going for $50 for 7. Your shit is way more rare.

I know the feeling. It was harder than a mother fucker when I did it.Probably easier for lots of folks now that the UFC has Fight Pass.

My ex wife gave away all of my tape
collection when I got away from her. All in all I got the better end of that even if I thought about murder when I found out.

When my Dad passed he left a double deck VCR/DVD combination. Really easy to transfer to DVD-R. That one finally quit working but I found another on EBay. I had bins full of wrestling tournaments that I coached on VHS. They are all on DVD now. Quality is still VHS though.

Is the best possible source material for these events VHS footage?

If so, and your tapes are in good condition, you should consider converting the footage to digital. Look on craigslist or marketplace for high end VHS players. These are the ones to get:

I am in search for one of these flagship VHS players to convert old home movies to digital.

As far as original vhs cassettes with original artwork goes this is what all I have. I also have a couple of old original ufc events that are in a generic or clear case.
