GF wants to come watch me compete Pain in Ashe

Hey guys,

do any of you ever have the problem with a gf wanting to see you compete?

Why don't they realize you need to be in the zone? Or does it not have an effect on you?

Yowza

BFH

Mine stresses me the hell out

have you brought her to watch training?

Mine has come to a few tournaments. I actually seem to do better when she's there. She usually just brings a book and seems to accept that I'm not going to be doing much talking.

For me, it's nice to have someone to listen for my name being called, to grab me food and water when I need it, and to quietly support me.

you should be happy she accepts your fighting lifestyle bro.

^LOL

Having that support is cool. Our team relies on each other for the same, except for the "quietly" part.

My girl tried this for half the day, got bored, and left 2 hours before my division. Hasn't been to one since. We are both alright with that.

I have always told family to stay away... I would only let my brother watch and he wouldn't want to...LOL

I had to have a serious talk with my girl about how my emotions would be running high, and that i wouldnt want to talk to her. When i have a fight (not a grappling match) i dont like to see her for the whole night before, and day of the fight. If you are really fired up to compete or fight its best she understands that she may get her feelings hurt at some point.

My gf always bitches when she cant make it to a tournament. I don't know why. I spend the entire day ignoring her, telling her to go get me water and shit, and then when I tell her she doesn't have to come, she thinks I don't want her there...

Women are crazy.

I wouldnt bring her if she is ugly

LOL, I love it

I have never let a friend or family member watch me compete... Just training partners n stuff. Not even at Olympic trials in my home town. I am a little crazy about my mental focus ;)

my girlfriend has made it to all of my tournaments except 1. the way i keep her away from me, i give her my DSLR camera and tell her to follow my coaches taking pictures of everyone from my team competing. It works best that way.

my girlfriend has come to a few tournaments, but i dont ask her to come. its too long of a day for someone who doesnt know the sport. i dont mind if she watches me cuz i always DOMINATE (jk lol) but i hate having to keep her company in between divisions and matches when id rather watch, corner, or lay down on the mat and rest

Sounds like you have a good chick.

The kay is the last three words in your post, "quietly support me"
