Gi Choke DVD's

Looking for the top DVD's out there on the art of Gi choking. Anyone got some good quick reviews. Thanks in advance

Really liked the DVD Mastering Chokes -

Mastering Chokes is the second in a new ground-breaking series by BJJ pioneers John Will and David Meyer. Each DVD in this new mastery series, offers unparalleled instruction on a specific topic. You will be amazed at the high level of detail and technical info that this series offers. This goes way beyond a meager collection of techniques; the progressive structure and teaching methodologies employed in the development of this series, sets a new standard. But don't think that extremely detailed and concise instruction is a trade-off for quantity – these DVD's contain a serious amount of information; enough to satisfy the most hard-core BJJ aficionado's.

Michael Jen's "Ultimate Gi Chokes" set is the other candidate here.

Definitely the Mike Jen - Joe Moreira Gi Chokes set, as well as the Joe Moreira - Roy Harris Gi chokes volume.

I also really enjoyed the book/DVD combo from Draculinho, which shows a number of gi chokes from side mount.

Volume 2 of Joe Moreira's "Attacking Guard" is all on gi chokes, also.  Available on my website, https://www.shop.adamlaclair.com

If you only want the chokes disc (and not the armlocks or sweeps), shoot me an email (address is on the site)

I definitely second the vote for Mastering Chokes by John Will and David Meyer.

the masterclass series and the jen/moreria sets are both great imo...peace, john

Yeah you can't really go wrong with mastering chokes or any of the Will/Meyer stuff I've seen.

Good stuff and well explained.

Anyone know the next subject of the Will/Meyer "Master Series"?

Thanks eveyone for there thoughts...Adam I will for sure check out your set.

Jens set is great.

Just know that it covers chokes from the guard and turtle/hooks only.

No other positions.

John will's covers more positions but isnt as good.

It's not a DVD but try to get a hold of "ShimeWaza" by Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki. He covers a lot of chokes from the Judo perspective and is a groundwork specialist from back in the days when judo did ground work.

I think the books are called the MasterClass Series from Ippon books. John Turner sparked a memory when he said Masterclass.

MIT is correct: the series is called "Masterclass Judo". Some of them are available on Amazon.

Go to www.hatashita.com to see all of the titles in the series (I think budovideos now has most of them too).

I have a few of them, and they are great.
