It makes good sense.
I agree, if by smashing Pettis you mean jumping around him like a goddam spider monkey with Parkinson's and throwing vicious bombs that never connect because of his short ass arms.
That said, Pettis is at the career point where Gonzaga was when he kicked the fuck out of Crocop's head, give him someone like Guida and let's see where he is as a mixed martial artist, one crazy flying ninja kick doth not a contender make (the awesomeness of beating Bendo notwithstanding)
