GLORY 20 DUBAI Weigh-Ins

All fighters were on weight at today’s official GLORY 20 DUBAI weigh-ins at the World Trade Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Headline fighters Robin van Roosmalen (33-6, 19 KO’s) and Andy ‘The Machine’ Ristie (44-4-1, 24 KO’s) scowled at each other after weighing in, their faces just inches apart, as GLORY CEO Jon Franklin stood between them holding the GLORY World Lightweight Championship title belt.

Van Roosmalen won the belt at GLORY 18 OKLAHOMA in November and Friday night will be his first defense of it. The bout has special significance for him as Ristie knocked him out at GLORY 12 NEW YORK, giving Van Roosmalen double motivation going into this fight.

The co-main event will see Gabriel Varga (25-2, 8 KO’s) of Canada square off with Morocco’s Mosab Amrani (53-9-4, 16 KO’s) for the vacant World Featherweight Championship. This is the last of the GLORY title belts yet to be awarded and this encounter is expected to be a ‘Fight of the Year 2015’ contender.

The card’s four middleweights are facing off in a Contender Tournament to determine the division’s next challenger. The winner will emerge with a shot at Artem Levin’s World Middleweight Championship and will also go home with the Ramon Dekkers Memorial Cup, awarded to fighters who win a Contender tournament.

In the US, GLORY 20 DUBAI airs on Spike TV on Friday, April 3 at 10pm ET/9pm CT while Superfight Series 20 airs on CBS Sports at 10pm ET on Saturday April 4.

Everyone needs to watch this! Glory needs more support. It makes no sense for CBS boxing to be getting 3 mil viewers when Glory kickboxing is available to watch. Every event they put on is much better than any boxing show. Promise :) Phone Post 3.0

Every event they put on is the best thing to watch on TV.

unless you hate fighting there's literally nothing not to love. it makes no sense at all that kickboxing is so underground and shady specially when there's a whole population who complains about grappling in MMA.

I never know when there's a Glory event coming up. Disappointing because I love it. Phone Post 3.0
