UFC lightweight Gray Maynard, currently recuperating after knee surgery, offered an interesting response when asked about potentially competing at Featherweight.

@thejondelbrugge

Read entire Twitter...

He's a pretty big 55er. Can't imagine him at 45.
Whatevs. I like seeing guys fight in multiple weight divisions. Go for it.
He couldn't make 145 and still be effective. I'd rather he stay at 155.
Is he moving for a title shot?
He was probably just joking, since it looks like anyone who moves down to 145 gets a title shit.

Bad move, he's a beast at 55 and would be slower and possibly ranked lower after some fights at 145. Either that or a dread the idea of Maynard/guida 2.
What's up with top 5 LWs dropping when they've only run into a single 155er who can beat them?
I say he should just do it big and move down to 125lbs.
Might be a tough cut from 200+lbs...
If Edgar gave Maynard fits at 155, can you imagine the speed and power of Aldo fighting Maynard at 145? Terrible choice. Maynard is solid at 155. He should try to make another run where he's at.

Maynard and Aldo have done quite a bit of training together. Gray even received his blue belt under Dede last time he was down there. That said, doesn't matter cause the bully ain't makin 45.

Another successful 155er dropping to featherweight? IMMEDIATE TITLE SHOT!
Didn't Goldie say he walked around +200?
