"I feel very good. I'm ahead of schedule. I feel sometimes I want to do a little bit more but even though I feel good my graft is not fused properly, 100-percent. I need to remain calm. The danger with a lot of athletes is to push through the pain and try to go to fast. If I do so, it might loosen up the graft and I might have to start the old process again and I don't want to do that."
good stuff, can't wait for him to come back and see the results, if he come back from this and destroy his opponent, it will truly be an incredible accomplishment, in my eyes this is just another way for him to shine. His quest to show he's the best ever is not over yet.
Just getting over recovery of ACL reconstruction, it's still hard for me to wrestle. I had surgery may 5, and still cant force myself to take a shot or do a firemans carry on my right knee.
Mentally, im still scared / worried. Of course im not GSP with UFC doctors and an ass load of money either.

I can totally relate to that, after eighteen months I'm pretty much back to 100% post that surgery, its by far the worst I've ever had after years in the Army/competing etc etc.
I had one of the best surgeons in Europe and I smashed through the rehab regaining total flexion etc but its a confidence problem! I still hesitate on the mat, especially shooting and the like. I really hope GSP comes back with a vengeance for all us cripples!
Exactly! Good to see im not the only one struggling with this.
The key for GSP to remain dominant is his mindset about his knee. And with wrestling being SUCH a huge part of his fighting style it will be doublely important
I'm sure GSP will make a full recovery, it's what happens after that will count. Mentally he may be effected by the injury and there is always the very real possibility that he would easily re-injure himself. I hope the best for him but history says the odds are not in his favor.
