Entreri -Without the grease.. highly unlikely...lionsoul - Diaz will kill GSP standing. So do you think GSP is going to make Diaz quit as well?
All GSP has to do is follow the same EXACT gameplan he did with Penn in GSP-Penn 2. Clinch...takedown... GNP.
GSP will easily win it... because of his wrestling.... but make no mistake... Diaz is better than him at everything else.<br type="_moz" />
Mr. Blonde -Zaph - GSP is going to make it look easy.
People forget how Diaz fares against wrestlers.
Some common sense on this thread...
This.

abi - remember the randleman/rutten fight? im sure itll be like that with gsp/diaz...![]()
Controversial fight, I don't see this fight being controversial at all
Sorta depends how it plays out. If Nick is able to peg GSP a few times in between takedowns it could end up somewhat controversial.
diaz >> gsp
Georges' face will be completely battered from Diaz punching him from the bottom as he takes a 50-45 decision. Diaz will probably retire from MMA and curse at the judges for being wrestling biased shitheads in his post fight interview.
supersaiyan - diaz >> gsp
Uh-huh...

Nick isn't known for his one punch KO power. He sort of requires you to stand there in front of him and try to trade with him in order to do his things. I don't think GSP will do that.
Penn is not very good at adjusting in a fight when things aren't going his way. We saw it with Edgar and we saw it again with Diaz last night. He'll just keep using the same strategy throughout the fight whether it's working for him or not.

As you know, grease played no part in him pummeling BJ Penn.

What? It played a MASSIVE role. Did you watch BJs legs sliding down GSPs back while in high guard?

Yes, and it was due to GSP posturing up properly.

ttt
Nick Diaz will jabfuck GSP's head if he gets into any kind of standup war with him. Which is why he won't.

Really?
w9 -What Wrestler has Diaz fought? And do you honestly like Nick's chances of stopping GSP's takedowns...Zaph - GSP is going to make it look easy.
People forget how Diaz fares against wrestlers.
That was 7 years ago noob.

You need to work on your insults. If someone is stuck in MMA's past, then they obviously aren't noobs.
That said, please allow me to counter that point with a simple question: how many wrestlers has Diaz defeated in that 7 year period?
mmm, let me think, Diaz, who had subpar wrestling, did he not get taken down by Penn the other night. And we are talking about St Pierre here, the guy who tooled 2 NCAA Champions at their own game.
Lets see, what else, oh yes, the stockton slap, which relies on people wanting to stand and bang in a boxing match, Daley, Penn, wait a minute, last time I checked, GSP wasnt a boxer, but he could mix it up really well. Of course, the grease arguments are going to come out, cause thats all we have on here is BJ fanboys and people ready to jump on the next fan train that someone is going to derail GSP. I have seen it on this forum all the fucking time, Fitch will take him out, KOS will outwrestle him, Hardy will knock him out blah blah blah. End result, GSP still is the man, and I dont think Nick has the tools, as per the original post to dethrone him.
He even said it himself, people want to see me get my ass kicked, and thats what we are going to see
GSP should crush Diaz, but it will be nice to see someone that will go for it against him for a change.
