His sty1e was based on maintaining control and impressing the judges. Many fighters he took to a decision were finished by other opponents. He tapped out to Hughes when he was the next big thing and got blasted by Serra in his prime. When the competition started inching closer he took his ball and went home. He came back when he saw a champ that fit his criteria and left again when he was expected to defend his title.
All things considered, GSP has to be the GOAT. Dana must feel the same since he has apparently has no interest in making GSP vs. Khabib. He must be afraid that GSP will beat Khabib & then retire again. Otherwise, why wouldn’t he make that fight? How could anybody in the universe not be excited to see that fight?!?!
