GSP sold out: Classic story

Putting Rebneys face put and end to it or at least made it much more difficult imho. That was the dumbest thing.

Again. Clearly nobody understands what a fucking union is for. You are subcontracted, you don't want to find jobs yourself, you join a union that finds you jobs.

This is UFC. they have exclusivity contracts. UNION IS FUCKING POINTLESS.

Fighters fight for money. You offer them big money they will do it.

Unions exist to help ensure fair wages and working conditions through collective bargaining.

Employees have unions. Fighters are not employees. Fighters are contractors.

Good responses!

OP doesn't seem to understand when an why a union is useful.....

its a terrible idea for MMA (at this point)

These guys do that already when they sign contracts.

I agree fighters get paid like shit, and treated worse.

But a union isn't going to help any. That's just a way for people who are not a fighter or promoter to get paid, adding further administration, making the pie smaller for everyone.

Fighters need to stand up for themselves. Diaz Bros are not afraid to say no to fights for more money, not that their way is a good example, but it's the right path.

What MMA needs is simple,

competition.

Guys are complaining about pay but they're getting more money than ever. We've never seen so many disclosed 6 figure paydays as we are seeing now (in the UFC at least)

How did he sell out? He hasn't changed his tune.

Fighters association would be a better term. NFL NBA MLB NHL all have them. This is in addition to their own lawyers and agents. It is not to make sure player A gets more money but to establish a bisic set of rules or guidlines that all players and executives must adhere to. You can still get a better or worse contract than the other guy.
