If your aunty had a penis she would be your uncle.
Anderson acted like a tit and got KO'd.

There is no way to know. But if he hadn't been clowning like that I think Weidman is more apt to stick to the wrestling plan. Which would have won him the fight imo.
FloridaStriker - bully got bullied. When he realized he had nothing for this kid, he resorted to taunting to mask it. To try and intimidate him. lol didnt work like it did in his last few fights
I don't concur. When did he realize he had nothing for him?
MMALOGIC -
he could have won if he didnt play games. but he did look tired.
He looked tired? I don't think that was the case. He showboated plain and simple. There's a reason the crowd was booing him and that's because they knew he basically threw the fight whether he meant to or not.
Dana is going to talk Anderson into a rematch. I hope for Anderson's sake he feels embarrassed by this loss and is going to come out to fight next time. Props to Chris but you have got to believe he is going to be hearing a lot about how he got lucky and that Anderson let him win. Weidman is going to be the one really wanting a rematch.
When swagger goes wrong
Weidman was giving him trouble. Came out and hit a takedown and was dominating him on the ground. All this happened BEFORE any showboating. Silva decided to defend the takedown, hands low and assumed he could make Weidman miss and eventully counter. Silva got used to guys throwing one strike at a time at him, didn't count on a guy throing a combo.
If he didn't "play" and tried to strike with authority he was going to get taken down again.

I think if Anderson were truly concerned he wouldn't have showboated like that. Think back to the Chael and Belfort fights... he didn't act like that when he thought he was actually in danger. I think he felt deep down that he could clown Weidman.
Yes, by decision. Anderson was probably taunting that much so that Weidman would get frustrated and keep it standing. God damn did that backfire. Also, he looked concerned as hell during the walk out and pre-fight announcements. He didn't look confident at all.
mathew10lb - Totally thought, as it looked like he was about to school weidman, deserves to lose for that shit.
.
Before Anderson got caught he looked to be on another level than Weidman. With that said he lost fair and square and Weidman deserves a great win. I wish I thought Weidman would've won regardless but I don't feel that way. With that said it was only round 2. I had the feeling Weidman might be able to take the later rounds
Yes.
They fought for 8 minutes and Silva didn't do shit. Silva was scared and that's why he was acting a fool. I love the Anderson nuthuggers making excuses. Anderson thought he was a God and just got humiliated.

Yeah I'm starting to agree with this. Honestly, Anderson didn't do shit offensively the entire fight. His dancing didn't throw Weidman off at all. He wanted Weidman to engage, but Weidman played it smart and made Anderson lead off at times, which is not what Anderson wants to do.
Anderson wants to counter, Weidman wasn't going to let him. One of the teling parts is when Weidman basically walked right into the chest of Silva with silva not throwing a single strike. Silva was very uncomfortable with Weidman's patience and his confidence.

Silva was stuffing Weidmans takedowns easily in the 2nd. He could have taken the fight easily if he had just taken it seriously.
I only saw the fight Live - so this is going off emotion of the fight.. the fight to me looked a lot like Silva-Sonnen II. 1st rd Silva gets taken down and dominated, but this time he gets back to his feet, granted on a poor choice by Weidman to go for a leg.. Rd 2 looked like the momentum was all going to Silva.. stuffed a takedown.. played with him on the fence like Bonnar.. but instead of turning it up would only give a few spurts of attack. Then he would mix in some shit taunts that seemed to me like he was telling weidman to give the fans a show or something. The whole pretending to be hurt thing was kinda funny the 1st time he did it, to continue to do it was ridiculous.

I respectfully disagree
Silva is use to 2-3 strike combos. Left right left. Weidman probably knew this and trained to cut distance once silva did the lean and roll thing. Weidman also threw silva off with doubling the right hand. Most guys dont double up like that in mma.
That being said if Silva wasnt trying to pull another maia debacle I think he could've koed weidman. He was clearly the faster and more accurate fighter.
Yes drawing his opponent in with the taunting is part of silvas game plan but he clearly was careless and took it too far. Weidman was simply good enough to capitalize when silva gets that careless. Like 7 other fighters were unable to capitalize on Silvas carelessness
jimbonice -I agree! Makes sense for the third or fourth round but def not the second round opening. Anderson is so much more exp....FloridaStriker - bully got bullied.
