Had Silva not show boated...

And actually fought at his best, would he still have lost?

Vote yes or no

PS
Was that usher with him? Wtf? Phone Post

No

No

Maybe, his timing looked off. His showboating stopped Weidman from attempting takedowns too.

he could have won if he didnt play games.  but he did look tired.

I guess I'm not crazy to think Silva couldve won... Phone Post

Totally thought, as it looked like he was about to school weidman, deserves to lose for that shit. Phone Post

fuck no, it amazed me how easy he was stuffing Weidman's takedowns in the 2nd Round. I had picked Weidman but thought his wrestling would win it.

I'm quite sure he wouldn't have lost the fight if he'd fought intelligently.  It's a championship fight, and there's no excuse to behave like that in one.  Disrespect the threat your opponent poses to you, and you'll go down eventually.

thirdleg - No, he could have blown the doors off that thing the entire fight. That's why it's so stupid. A waste.
Boom! This....I'm fucking pissed at that shitfest Phone Post 3.0

Yes. Phone Post

I think it's hard to say, but I think Anderson most likely would have won if he had fought to the best of his technical ability. Weidman did look like he could win for the first 3 minutes, but it seemed like Anderson had reversed the momentum during the last two minutes of round 1 and was taking control of the fight. Based on that, I think Anderson probably could have continued to control the fight.

That said, he didn't. Weidman knocked Anderson out. No matter what we think may have happened if this and if that, what actually happened is Chris Weidman knocked Anderson out. It's so strange typing that.

I feel the same way

In what other sport do guys show boat that hard at the championship level?! Phone Post

I say yes. He was getting hit. Wasn't landing, and Weidman was not gonna let Anderson be the counter puncher. And it's obvious Chris had the KO power needed. I think he even stunned Anderson with some GnP early.

And lets not forget, Chris could have rode out rd1 had he not gone for the leglock.

yes! showboating threw Chris off a little in the 1st, its what got him through RD 1.

Yes
He needs the taunting, although not to that extreme to take his opponent out of their game and draw them in.

bully got bullied. When he realized he had nothing for this kid, he resorted to taunting to mask it. To try and intimidate him. lol didnt work like it did in his last few fights

Rambo John J - Weidman was breaking him believe it or not.
Andy plays the bully, weidman wasnot having it.

Weidman was not breaking him in any way shape or form. That was actually the problem, Anderson did not respect him when he should have.
