Heavyweight boxer to fight in ICON

Icon Sport will present the MMA debut or Jeremy "Half Man, Half Amazing" Williams, a professional heavyweight boxer (47-5, 35 KOs), in the Friday December 1st event, Unstoppable. Williams is a "who's who" in the boxing world, with the fastest recorded knockout in California boxing history (10 seconds, vs. Arthur Weathers) and an induction into Golden Gloves Hall of Fame. But fans may recognize Williams more from his reoccurring appearances in the hit reality boxing program, The Contender, where he serves as a trainer to the contestants.

In his MMA debut, Williams will represent Randy Couture and Bas Rutten's Legends Mixed Martial Arts Center, a ground-breaking MMA facility in Hollywood, California. Williams comes to Icon Sport as a replacement for Falaniko Vitale, who is suffering a persistent knee injury sustained during his football career. Williams will face undefeated Jamiah Williamson, son of the former WBC light heavyweight world champion. Williamson comes to Icon from the Orange County Bomb Squad team in Anaheim, California.

T. Jay Thompson, Icon Sport President, on boxer Jeremy Williams' MMA debut in Icon:

"The fans are in for a treat now that Jeremy is joining Icon. If you like fighters who stand and bang, then you're going to love this guy. He's one of the biggest punchers in boxing...he's going to be very, very exciting in MMA. He'll be tough to stop with the ground training he's receiving at Couture and Rutten's Hollywood gym."

But as one star joins the Unstoppable card, another is forced to step away. "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler has once again injured his hand, which he fractured in early 2006. Lawler will return to compete in the next Icon show in February, 2007.

Half Man....Half Amazing...imo!

vs. David Pahinui(if he's still around imo)

ttt

yay

This guy will have to be a pretty damn good wrestler to get Jeremy on the mat. I agree with Clay...Jeremy will KO this guy in the first minute if the fight isn't taken to the ground.

Jeremys new opponent is Ron Fields.
