Talks all about what he has been doing for the past eight years.
The_Pundits_Ghost -I have a hard time watching anything with mayhem these days. Cliffs? Does he sound like his head is screwed on and he is focused-somewhat?
I had it on in the background as I did other things, so I cant give perfect notes.
However, what I picked up was that he is somewhat together, but by no means a new, changed person. Same issues, same mind, but trying to manage it all in a healthy way.
Has some interesting stories, of MMA, prison, and his feelings about authority.
Admits he was fucked up that time he went nuts on Helwani's show.
Wants a new rivalry with Nick Diaz.
Interesting stories. Still a wacky dude. Fun history of his rise and recollection of lots of interesting fights by Ariel, with Mayhem filling in the details. Pretty interesting all around, but he seems to be pretty hyped up on something, or else the meds he is on aren't doing quite enough to suppress his manic state. Good to see him more stable than in the past.
One of Bispings easiest wins
When he first got out and got onMMA roasted, he sounded great. Sounded like the guy I got to know on ultimate fighter season (I didn’t know him prior). As the weeks went by, especially after the pandemic (was listening to multiple episodes per night) I could noticibly tell he was getting wacky again. It was starting to turn me off oF the podcast. Hope you stay health Jason, and look forward to you back on the show.
Yeah I hope he gets happy and well. All that wackyness is part of his problem. Its a way of being that he picked up somewhere, but it seems like its from an insincere, superfical place, which is just coping.
That said, I think, he is actually a good dude. Hope he is well.
Mayhem is starting to look like Joe Son.
If you ever want 15 minutes of pure entertainment, go back and watch his interview with Ariel. It just watched it for the first time in many years... it’s so bizarre!

Ariel catches a lot of shit on here from the Zuffa employees/shills, but he's the best interviewer in MMA by a long shot. His walk in the park shit, while flaming hot gay, actually manages to break through the characters that Rampage and Mayhem play and get them to open up, you get to see the real guys. His interviews are really just conversations. Contrast this against hacks like Sean Evans (Hot Ones) who just write a list of questions like a 12 year old boy and then don't even try to carry a conversation... it's choppy, awkward and all over the place, and only rarely gives you a glimpse of the guy across the table.
TTT for the little mermaid.

he’s definitely a great interviewer. I love that he chased Mayhem down the street trying to get him to come back. The park and walk interviews were amazing. Completely agree
Any updates on how Lucky Patrick is doing these days?
He sounds good.
