Holly Holm ended her boxing career with a record of 33-2-3 and last fought back in May of 2013. During her boxing career, she was the IBA female, and WBF female light welterweight champion among winning other belts. She also picked up notable wins over Mary Jo Sanders, Anne Sophie Mathis, and Diana Prazak among others. Holm was also The Ring’s female fighter of the year in 2005 and 2006 as well as having 16 title defenses over three different weight divisions in her career.

Joining Holm in the 2022 class is one-time UFC fighter, James Toney. Toney fought at UFC 118 where he was dominated by Randy Couture and losing by first-round submission. Yet, he was a force in his boxing career and ended with a record of 77-10-3 and two No Contests. The other notable name being inducted is Roy Jones Jr. who most recently had an exhibition bout against Mike Tyson last year. He is considered one of the best boxers of all time and won titles at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight.

That’s a picture to have on your wall if I’ve ever seen one!

I told Ben the manager at BWW that this lady has all the skills and excellent lateral movement. She is going to beat Ronda tonight.

The place was packed and creepy deathly silent immediately following the KO and Ben shouts out “no way dude” goes and pulls the poster out of the shield, ran over and gave it to me.

Holly is an incredible class act and is on a very short list of Hall of Fame Role Models.

There are a ton of legit Dad’s out there that are grateful for her example.

On behalf of all of them

Congratulations

Congrats to Holly it’s a major accomplishment.

She has said it before but it’s really true that it’s harder to go from a striking only style like Boxing to MMA than to go from MMA to Boxing. What she accomplished becoming a Champion at Both sports and now a Hall of Famer is a great feat.

Weird though RJJ and Toney aren’t already in and are going in at the same time as Cotto/Holm since those guys careers go back to the 1980s and the other 2 started in the 2000s.

Congrats to all
