This was at Mainstream MMA 9 last night. Luke Gwaltney vs Eric Wisely. They had a great fight up until this point when after a awkward throw Gwaltney went head first into the cage. The cage did that. Thanks to Beau for the extra footage!

last night in Cedar Rapids, IA......was a really good fight up until then. Luke never took his hand off the cut in the ring so never saw the gash until now...frickin crazy!

Wisely won via ref stoppage due to the cut. I think thats fair because the throw that caused the cut was initiated by Wisely.

I would agree if the design and materials used the build the cage didn't play a factor to whether or nor the cut occurred.
