How are you dealing with Shoguns loss to OSP?

Day 1 after the fight has been bleak..
I took NyQuil in the morning and woke up screaming "look out for the sidestep" a couple times throughout the day Phone Post 3.0

Just glad I got to see him KO Te Huna in Brisbane. Was a real thrill. Thought nothing would top that.

Nekk munnut... Hunt vs Silva. Phone Post 3.0

No reaction for me, really. I figured OSP would win via speed/athleticism advantage. He just did it much quicker than anyone would have anticipated.

I like Shogun, but was never a big fan. Probably b/c I rooted for Arona, Overeem, and Machida which he finished all three in spectacular fashion.

The only time I've felt physically ill after a fight was when Crocop got "shotgun" blasted by Gonzaga. Thought it was strange to feel that way about fighters I don't even know or even a sporting event in general.

Been a rough week... found out an old friend has cancer and worse yet-- I had to watch Shogun get KO'd by fucking Ovince StWhogivesafuck.

I'm loving it. Phone Post 3.0

Fuck OSP's stupid ass celebration!!

And fuck the faggot who voted me down for saying it!! Hopping around dancing like a faggot ass backup dancer in an 80's rap video. Making that dumb fucking gesture with his hands. Good win, gay celebration. Get well soon Shogun.

got chlamydia for the 3rd time, and shogun lost ... It's been a rough a couple of days gentlemen.

Blipty_Blurred - Started the morning off with a line of coke. Havent touched the stuff in 15 years. For lunch I may suck a dick in an ally. Probably going to pawn my tv and hit the casino later this evening to try and win more money for coke. Phone Post 3.0

what time do you class lunch?

I didn't take it very well, even though I thought it was a 50/50 fight.

My appendix blew up and had to be removed.

shaqitup - How do people get so emotionally invested?
Watching Shogun's career from the start, I think a better question would be how could people NOT get emotionally invested? Phone Post 3.0

to the point where you're crying, or devastated that you can't function?

I'll be a bit gutted and might think about those kind of things, but it doesn't put me in a depression spiral.

Ok I see your point.
My apologies, I thought you were being flippant.
My bad.

I'm gutted he lost in such a way but I agree it's bizarre for someone to cry over any sporting event.

I don't know.
but I know that when Nick loses I'm just as pissed as he is

Forward - CAN"T BELIEVE SHOTGUN IS ONLY 32!

I understand the man's been in so much war, and the body and mind is taking it's toll.

When anyone thinks of 32, they would say that's young and most would agree that's when one is at it's peak.

In fighting there is no career where one doesn't get hit, everyone gets hit. But I was never too much of a fan of you hit me and I hit you back. At the same time in this sport not a lot of fighters will become a champion or have a long career as a mma fighter, at the same time that's what makes the fight game very special, you gotta b great to be make it in this game. But everyone finds happiness differently, most just want a story to tell their grand kids they live out their life and had the courage to make it happen.

I wish SHOGUN all the best. He needs to take sometime off and reinvent himself as a fighter, change his style, or the fight career is over. Perhaps take a little from Conor Mcgreger, Machida, Domnick Cruiz, Mayweather, Ali and Bruce Lee.
And when you think the Cali Kid is 35, it is just mind-bottling Phone Post 3.0
