I just read that Shannon Briggs KO'd Big Cat in K1. Now, Tom is FAR from a kickboxer, let alone a top K1 star, but I was wondering if anyone who saw the fight can tell me how he looked.
Everyone has been waiting for a decent HW boxer in K1. Everyone has their own oppinion about boxers "exposing" the striking prowess of K1 stars. So I ask:
I Briggs the man to "expose" K1?

Briggs looked fine and confident, but there's no story to tell when a world-class boxer beats a world-class greco roman wrestler in a striking contest.

Briggs looked pretty soft in the pictures.
Top HW boxers he faced were Lennox Lewis and George Foreman.
He beat Foreman by controversial decision.
Then he got his ass fucked by Lenox.
Yep.
Top fighters Briggs fought in order of best to worst.
1. Lennox -KO'd by
2. Foreman -won the biggest robbery ever
3. Botha - got a draw that was obviously a Botha win.
Yes he has some skills, but he is no great heavyweight. Lets face it, if he was making any kind of money in boxing do you think he'd be doing this?
no way.
Anyway, people should be concerned with seeing the best strikers in K-1 not the best boxers, kickboxers, etc. Just as long as they have skills and can fight, I want them in K-1.
