I hear people sayimg that Blaydes isnt that good of a wrestler technically, bbut it all I saw was him continually taking Hunt down, even lifting him and suplexing him. Hunt isnt an easy guy to takedown and keep down, Brock Lesnar was probably the only other giy Ive seen dominate Hunt with wrestling.
I think Curtis has good size and strength and seems to set up his takedowns well when transitioning from punching and changing levels.
I think his striking is pretty good and if he can keep working on the transitions he might be a tpugh fighter to beat.
Blaydes’ wrestling is very good… probably above average…
Beating a Mark Hunt is not an easy task and Blaydes’ chin was decent and he recovered well from those early shots…
Junior Dos Santos would be an interesting matchup for him…
I think Cain would be better than Blaydes in wrestling and standing at this point, so he’s still a bit off from posing a serious challenge among the heavyweight elite though…

Yeah maybe a health sea level Cain would be better than Blaydes but Im bot holding my breath. Prime Cain was so relentless with his pace, hard to beat that. Still Blaydes is young, big, strong, has a chin, and can strike too. If he had Cains ground and pound hed be very dangerous.

Do you think Blaydes could beat LESNAR?
I think Blaydes beats Lesnar… while Lesnar’s wrestling is better, Blaydes has a better chin and is more youthful. What do you think?

I think so too…Blaydes is much more of a fighter than Brock…Blaydes is just as strong and athletic and his striking is much better…Blaydes has a better gas tank too…
Very good wrestling. His current level combined with the fact that he's only 26 means that he could go to the top if he stays injury free and the UFC pays him to stick around.
Bobby Lupo - Josh Barnett took Hunt down and submitted him in like 18 seconds.
C’mon, Lupes. Hunto is a different fighter now.
I think he was more frightening back then. He was the first guy to beat Wanderlei in Pride. His striking was sharp as fuck in the early part of his run, and he was somehow outgrappling Fedor at the end.

Remember Hunt getting side control on Fedor, going for a kimura, then realizing he didn’t know what he was doing? Classic Pride moment.
