Joe is a great fighter anyway, but Penn really was yelling out what was coming over and over. I'm wondering how much Joe was listening and if even one of them saved Joe from a triangle or armbar. I was very impressed by Cole. Love to see somebody work submissions instead of lying there and hugging. He'll be back for sure.
from that position there is two things to watch for. triangle or armbar. Joe's been fighting long enough to figure that out on his own.
sometimes I wonder if calling out the moves so often will give the opponent ideas as well. If Cole is busy watching out for elbows he may not see the available armbar, kimura etc... until BJ plants the idea. ??
BJ shoould have confused Cole and yelled out things like
"Time to use your third hook JOE!!!!"
